A delegation from Andek Council participated at the 2025 Cameroon Councils International Economic forum, JEICOM25
The 2025 Cameroon Councils International Economic forum, JEICOM25, under the high patronage of the Head of State, president Paul Biya, which started on June 2nd 2025 at the Yaounde Conference Centre, with participants coming from over 26 countries in the world, has rounded up today, June 4th, 2025; with the participation of a delegation from Andek Council, including the CDO and led by Lord Mayor Ubangoh Helly.
The economic forum was an opportunity for Andek to gain experiences both from the international participants and other Cameroonian elected officials. It was also an opportunity to expose the potentials of Andek Council, especially the Ngie Palm Oil and the Ngie Bio-Agricultural and Bio-Medicinal Products to the world, in a stand that was mounted for Northwest Region.
Lord Mayor Ubangoh was able to make some contacts with international investors and companies for possible cooperation in the areas of Agriculture and road works.
In the sidelines of the economic forum,
– Lord Mayor Ubangoh Helly was received in audience by His Excellency Tazong Paul, Minister Delegate at MINEPAT, during which the issue of the abandoned markets of TEZE, Andek and Tinechung, sponsored by the Presidential Plan for the Reconstruction and Development of the NW/ SW Regions, PPRD, was discussed. The Minister promised to take urgent measures to ensure that the projects are perfectly realized, as planned.
– The Mayor participated in a political briefing at the cabinet of Her Excellency Minister Mbah Acha Rose, Head of the Momo Divisional Permanent Delegation of the Central Committee of the CPDM, which was attended by all other CPDM political leaders of the 5 subdivisions of Momo Division.
– the Mayor received a Delegation of the Mbabum Cultural and Development Association, led by their President, some of who traveled all the way from KUMBA, to take advantage of the presence of the Mayor at the forum, to discuss issues of development in the community, in partnership with Andek Council.
The delegation left satisfied that the Mayor accepted to cooperate with them to ensure that the most desired project of the community, the road, is realized in the not distant future.
Lord Mayor Ubangoh is returning home with a basket full of prospects.
