Effective construction work underway in the TEZE
Effective work underway in the TEZE Market as Lord Mayor Ubangoh Helly personally decended to TEZE today, 27th Feb. 2026, accompanied by some members of his technical services, to supervise the demolition of some makeshift structures in the dilapidated market, to give way to the construction of an ultramodern market by LINCOCO Construction company Ltd.
The population of TEZE that turned out, in their numbers, to see the CATAPILLAR bring down the makeshift structures were so happy to see their dream of a new marker offered by the Head of State, through the PPRD program, come true.
The Director of LINCOCO company Ltd is determined to hand over the reconstructed marker within the deadline of 7 months or earlier.
As the machine brought down the various structures, the previous occupants of the makeshift sheds, who didn’t initially believe that it could go to this, struggled to recover what they could from the rubble.
The Lord Mayor had earlier explained that the contract had no provision for compensations; and had advised the previous occupants to recover what they could before the machines come.
