The Lord Mayor of Andek Council, Mr. UBANGOH HELLY MANYELLE Akoba, Knight of the Cameroon Order of Merit,

– Mindful of Law No 2019/024 of 24th December 2019;
– Referring to Communique No. 059/AC/SG/CDO/2026 of 13th October 2026 convening a Special Cleanup Campaign (Mandatory Community Work) on the main highway from TINEKOH to AZEM and from TINECHUNG to TONANGAI, scheduled for Monday 19th October 2026;
– Considering the poor state of our roads due to failed contracts awarded for the 3rd time, as reported by the Momo Mayors Union to H.E Philemon YANG in Yaoundé, during a workshop holding today;

HEREBY INFORMS the general public, all elites and the entire population of Ngie that the Mandatory Community Work has just been successfully completed today, 19th October 2026, as per the pictures shared above.

As prescribed in the circular, the following sectors were effectively covered:

1. Ngwenjin to River Dudum
2. Dudum Bridge to Teze Market
3. Teze Market to SAR/SM Andek
4. Gendarmerie Brigade towards Baitei
5. Etwii Health Centre towards Andek – where the populations of Andek, Angai, Baitei, Tinechung, Akye, Edanghi, Unooh and Bonatu massively engaged to maintain the Andek-Etwii stretch by community participation
6. Tinechung towards Tonangai

RESULT ACHIEVED:

The road is now clear, gutters opened, potholes filled and bushes cleared. This activity is going to ease movements from Ngie to outside, facilitate evacuation of farm produce to markets in Mbengwi and Bamenda, and ease movement of our forces of law and order and humanitarian services.

This is further proof that Andek Council returned to its chambers in Andek in 2022 and has ever since been there.

The Lord Mayor expresses profound gratitude to all Village/Neighborhood Coordinators and to all those who respected the circular and turned out massively.

Those who were absent will be treated as per the provisions of the circular – payment of *5,000 FCFA fine* to the Council Treasury.

The population is urged to maintain this road.
