LORD MAYOR UBANGOH HELLY DISTRIBUTES 1,000 CHICKS FROM H.E MINISTER MBAH ACHA ROSE FOMUNDAM TO ALL 29 NEIGHBORHOODS

The Lord Mayor of Andek Council, Mr. Ubangoh HELLY MANYELLE Akoba, yesterday Saturday 26th September 2026, distributed *1,000 improved chicks* to households in the Andek Municipality.

These chicks were generously offered by Her Excellency Minister Mbah ACHA Rose Fomundam, illustrious daughter of Ngie Sub-Division and mother of the Momo Division.

The beneficiaries, who were transparently recommended by the Village / Neighborhood Coordinators, came from all the 29 neighborhoods of the Andek Municipality. In addition to the chicks, each beneficiary received starter feed to begin rearing immediately.

The distribution exercise took place at the Andek Council esplanade in the presence of the Divisional Officer for Ngie, Mr. Oteh Philip BACHE and his état-major, Councillors, Traditional Authorities, and the population.

To avoid losses, the Council enlisted technical experts. The Chief of Zonal Veterinary Centre [ZVC] Teze, Madame UTAGAH and Mr. ECHU Elvis delivered practical training on housing, feeding, vaccination, hygiene and disease prevention for day-old chicks.

Beneficiaries expressed profound gratitude to H.E Minister Mbah ACHA and to the Lord Mayor for his inclusive leadership. They promised to multiply the chicks into viable poultry farms.

Seizing the opportunity, Lord Mayor Ubangoh Helly recounted some of the countless good things that H.E Minister Mbah ACHA Rose Fomundam has caused to come to Andek Municipality and Ngie at large:

– The three-phase electrification of Ngie which has lit up Andek and its environs and boosted small businesses;
– The present ongoing rehabilitation of the Acha – Andek – Widikum and Acha – Njikwa – Andek roads, which will finally open up Ngie after decades of enclavement;
– The appointment of many Ngie sons and daughters to high positions of responsibility in the administration, thanks to her advocacy;
– The regular provision of cash support to widows, vulnerable groups and farming cooperatives across the municipality;
– And many other unpublicized humanitarian interventions.

The Mayor called on the population to continue supporting the Minister and the Head of State, H.E President Paul BIYA, for more development.
